Welcome to the second most important French-speaking city after Paris! Welcome by your GVQ Travel guide. Dinner will be en route before checking into your hotel.


Morning devoted to turn Quebec City, the cradle of French culture in North America, and the only walled city north of Mexico. You will see the Château Frontenac, this world famous hotel, the Place d'Armes, which under the French regime, was the place of choice for military parades and public speeches, the Citadel, the Parc des Champs-de-Bataille which was the scene of the battle between the English and French armies led by Wolfe and Montcalm, the Parliament, the first National Historic Site Quebec and Laval University, Lunch in the old town. Enjoy an excursion to the island of Orleans, known for its beautiful countryside, and Montmorency Falls and park which offer a breathtaking view of the St. Lawrence River and Quebec City.  Dinner will be at a local fish restaurant. 


Visit the traditional Huron at Wendake, just outside Quebec City. Enjoy a guided tour to help you discover the ancestral Huron: the making snowshoes and canoes, and the organisation of the longhouse, etc.  We leave for Trois-Rivières "the King's Road", which is the oldest paved road in Canada.  Lunch will be a traditional sugar shack experience during which you will enjoy country recipes, all made with pure Maple syrup. The traditional music might even get you up dancing! We then continue on to Montreal where you`ll enjoy a guided tour of the city including Maisonneuve: the Windsor station which for many years was long the hub for Canadian passenger rail travel, the Place Ville Marie whose cruciform shape reminds us of the religious vocation of this city initially devoted to the Virgin Mary, the Notre-Dame Basilica, (interior visit not included), Mount Royal with the Saint Joseph’s Oratory, the Latin Quarter, and Saint-Catherine street, etc. Check in to your hotel and enjoy an included dinner. 


This morning we leave for beautiful Ottawa, the federal capital of Canada. Enjoy a lunch near Byward Market, before an orientation tour of the city, which will include ByWard Market, a Farmer’s market and shopping district by day and favorite gathering place of restaurants and clubs by night, the Rideau falls, named for their resemblance to a curtain, bringing the water level of the canal up 24 metres compared to that of the Ottawa river, and  Parliament Hill with its impressive Peace Tower and  53-bell carillon and gigantic clock, and the  Memorial Chamber dedicated to the memory of Canadians who have died in military service. Check-in to your hotel.  This evening take a stroll on Parliament Hill


This morning, we are off to the Thousand Islands! We take a boat tour to discover islands and islets of all sizes. The natural beauty and the greatness of the islands, remnants of the last Ice Age will no doubt stun you. You will be dazzled by the grandeur and natural beauty of the islands, remnants of the last ice age. Stop in Kingston, a charming small town founded in 1783 by Loyalists fleeing the American Revolution and capital of Canada from 1841 to 1844.  We then continue on to Toronto, Canada’s largest city and also known as the Queen City. Enjoy a city tour which will include the business district and its towering skyscrapers, city hall and its futuristic architecture, the CN Tower (ascension not included), the highest self structure bearing in the world and a symbol of the city. Enjoy a relaxing evening in Toronto. 


This morning set off for Niagara Falls, the largest fruit region in Eastern Canada. Stop en route at Niagara-on-the-Lake, a reconstructed 19th Century village, situated in the heart of the region’s world renowned vineyards. On arrival in Niagara Falls, enjoy lunch in a panoramic restaurant.  You`ll then take a trip on the  “Maid of the Mist” which takes you to the foot of this natural wonder where you can experience the power of this incredible mass of water thundering down at a rate of 150 000 gallons per second. You`ll hear accounts of the foolhardy stuntmen who have tried to cross the falls in various different kinds of vehicles!  There are all kinds of activities and attractions available in the city such as “A day behind the falls, the Spanish funicular railway, and the Niagara Gorge Trail, to name a few. At night you`ll see the falls illuminated, an amazing sight!


This morning transfer to the Canadian/American border and head towards Corning, an American city with a British accent, famous for its glass manufacturing industry. We then travel on to Harrisburg, the capital of Pennsylvania since 1812. Depending on your arrival time in Harrisburg, we`ll enjoy a brief tour to include the State Capitol, the park and the museum (from outside) and the River Front area. Check in to your hotel. 


This morning we explore the Dutch Country and the Amish country that retains its lifestyle of centuries ago. The locals go about their business in traditional dress. We then continue on to Washington, capital of the United States. The afternoon is spent visiting the city and our visit includes the Capitol, the White House, Arlington Cemetery where JFK is buried, the Pentagon, the Obelisk, the Lincoln Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, the Embassies area and the Mall, a huge green space bordered museums of the Smithsonian Institute. Check in to your hotel. 


Departure for the Big Apple, New York, and capital of business, arts and entertainment and publishing. You`ll be thrilled by the fast rhythm of this fascinating city. We`ll have lunch in Chinatown. This afternoon is dedicated to a city tour with a local guide. Your visit will include Times Square, Central Park, Harlem, 5th Avenue, Chinatown, Battery Park, Wall Street, Ground Zero, Broadway, the business district and the Rockefeller Center. Check-in to your hotel. 


This morning we`ll board ferry to visit the Statue of Liberty, the most famous monument in New York, and perhaps even the United States. Then we`ll stop at Ellis Island Immigration Museum which tells the moving story of the 12 million immigrants who entered America between 1890 and 1920. Today, the descendants of those immigrants account for almost half of the American people. From the deck of the boat you`ll be able to admire Manhattan’s dramatic skyline. In the afternoon, we`ll take a stroll around Central Park, which covers an area of 341 acres, and receives 20 million visitors per year.
